This is an updated version of an article I first released December 2005. Good thing I updated it. Some hacks have changed entirely, due to the upcoming WebKit and the fact that Konqueror is much further along in their CSS 3 support then I thought. Minefield is right.. good name, Mozilla! :)
I find Minefield, Firefox 3.0’s alpha release stunning. The new Cairo renderer brings my SVG almost on-par with Adobe SVG 3, which is no small feat. It still starts crawling when I load up a few thousand glyphs from my previous article; but I find I must do this. Why? more »
Coping with lost properties after appendChild (revised)

Converting TTF fonts for use in Mozilla SVG
Firefox still does not support much in the way of SVG fonts. This includes the glyph element, which is unfortunate since it is quite useful and many blah-to-SVG conversion tools create glyphs, instead of paths. This technique will get you glyphs from your favorite TTF, with any luck.. more »
